How to apply DOMINATOR DIAMOND GRIT
The DIAMOND GRIT texture additive for film-forming sealers is designed for use by professional contractors and homeowners who demand excellent products, providing both the look and performance to exceed your expectations.
DIAMOND GRIT can be used with the following DOMINATOR sealers:
Important: DIAMOND GRIT is not for use with a penetrating sealer like AQUA-X 11.
We recommend applying a texture additive such as DIAMOND GRIT in your final sealer coat to increase traction on particularly smooth surfaces or areas prone to slipping, like pool decks, sloped areas or stairs.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add 2-4oz of DIAMOND GRIT per one gallon of sealer. As more of the product is used, the rougher the surface will become.
For best results, add the desired amount of DIAMOND GRIT to your final sealer coat. If you are only applying a single coat, add the DIAMOND GRIT to that coat. Mix well to avoid clumping.
2. Apply via spraying or rolling depending on the preferred application of the sealer or coating you are using DIAMOND GRIT with. Use a high- pressure sprayer or roll with a 3/8" to 1/2" nap roller, being careful to lightly apply the product.
Do not use on aluminum or painted surfaces, or on glass.
3. DIAMOND GRIT dries clearly in sealer applications. See your particular sealer selection for dry times.
Note that DIAMOND GRIT (like any other texture additive) will lessen the sheen of glossy sealers, due to the way that the additive creates texture on previously the smooth surfaces.
IMPORTANT: The product is designed as a texture additive and not a non-skid.
