Black Diamond Coatings to participate in military, veteran's appreciation career fair in Clearwater Nov. 10

TAMPA, Fla. Black Diamond Coatings, a local producer of superior commercial grade, bio-based, low VOC sealers for pavers, concrete and wood, is scheduled to participate in a career fair for military veterans, active duty members of the military and reserve military members who are transitioning out of military service on Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, Florida.

Black Diamond Coatings is a veteran-owned company and is dedicated to serving the military and veteran community of Tampa. In addition to the job fair, Dimmitt Chevrolet is planning to start their Toys-For-Tots collection drive on that day, which is the 240th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.  As a result, members of the Marine Corps and a static display are scheduled to be on site from the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion out of Tampa, Florida.

In addition to Black Diamond Coatings, Action Fabrication, Allied Barton Security Services, American Power & Gas, Amerilife, Avon, BayCare Health System, Chick-Fil-A, Chili's, Clearwater Vet Center, CyraCom International, Department of Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehab, DeVry University, Dimmitt Chevrolet, Eckerd College, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Highway Patrol, ITT Technical Institute, Judge Public Relations, Jungle Cat Marketing, Mission BBQ, Network Insurance, New Horizons Computer Learning Center, Northwestern Mutual, Orange Theory Fitness, Paddock's Coffee, Rolling Thunder, St. Petersburg Police Department, Strayer University, Sunbelt Rentals, Supportive Services of Veterans' Affairs, SynDaver Labs, The Parts House, Top It Off Imprints, Troops to Teachers, Ultimate Staffing Services, University of Phoenix, Veteran's News Post, WQYK-FM, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) have already signed up to participate. Several more agencies, businesses and organizations are expected to attend.

The businesses in attendance will have representatives available to discuss employment opportunities with interested candidates. Bilingual candidates are among the needs of companies who will be represented. The educational institutions will be able to help explain how veterans can use their GI Bill benefits to further their education. The VA will be on hand to provide information about benefits veterans may be eligible to receive.

The event is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Dimmitt Chevrolet, located at 25485 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33763. In April, Dimmitt Chevrolet hosted the American Cars, American Heroes job fair with more than 40 companies, education institutions and government agencies participating. The job fair will also be open to members of the general public.
