Black Diamond Coatings joins Habitat for Humanity in rebuilding efforts for Tampa community

TAMPA, Fla. Representatives of Black Diamond Coatings, the Tampa-based coatings and paver sealer company, were on site this morning to assist local charity Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County in preparing two sites for upcoming housing projects. Local volunteers as young as 16 put the final touches on pre-construction clean up at 8711 N 50th St. and 3409 E. 26th Ave. in Tampa, early Thursday morning.

The efforts are designed to prepare the sites for upcoming building projects. Representatives from Habitat from Humanity who were on site said construction could break ground as soon as next week. "It's important to give back to the community," said David Warren, president of Black Diamond Coatings. "Having the support of local homeowners and businesses is vital to us, and we make sure to give that support right back any chance we get."

Black Diamond Coatings manufactures sealers for concrete, masonry, clay and natural stone pavers including travertine. The hardscape sealers provide an enhanced visual appeal and allows for easier cleaning and maintenance of the paver and stone surfaces while aiding in joint stabilization.

Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County have been helping the greater Tampa Bay area renovate and repair substandard homes since 1987. In addition to the rebuilding efforts, the organization’s efforts include advocating for fair and just housing policies and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
